Last but not least

And definetely NOT any easier. I know that everyone is so sick of hearing me complain all the time about the heartburn and the peeing... but wow. It's so much worse with this one. Which then makes me worry about what the labor is going to be like. I am getting an epidural this time. Someone had told me that they couldn't believe that I wasn't going to have a natural child birth with this one like I did with my girls. HAHAHAHA! I think twice is ENOUGH.

(((Hugs))) You complain all you want. Don't worry about what others think. My third pregnancy was my most uncomfortable, too.

As for the birth, don't decide anything yet. I don't know how your births of your girls went, but my youngest was born VERY fast! There wasn't time for anything.

Also, I had an epidural with my son (second baby), and let's just say that I still regret having done that. I'll spare you details, unless you want them.

OK. You asked for it. When the anesthesiologist was trying to place it, he hit something else. I blacked out, and (I am told) my arms and legs all shot out involuntarily. Once he finally got it in, he couldn't get it positioned correctly. I was getting tired of him there, so at one point I lied and said it was good, when really it wasn't. My left side was completely numb, but my right side was very weird feeling. (I initially spoke up and said it wasn't feeling right, but the more he messed with it, the worse I felt.) And, of course, when it was time to push they ended up turning the epidural off anyway.

To this day, my right leg sometimes has issues, and I know it's from the epidural. I know one of the risks is "permanent nerve damage" and I believe that's what happened here. It feels just like it did with the epidural. It seems to randomly occur. Sometimes it lasts a few hours, but often it lasts days. Most recently, it was over a week before it went away.

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't have gone the epidural route.

(Interestingly, I had a spinal with my c/s with my first, and never had a problem. Same anesthesiologist, too!)
