No time for blogging ):

So Chase is a wonderful baby. The problem is Hannah seems to need me even more now and it's so hard making sure she gets mommy time too ): I thought I'd be able to blog just as much as before but now I just find myself having time to go to breastfeeding.com to ask questions about the frustrating subject. That is a whole other blog itself.

I need to get some rest. We have to go to Rex tomorrow to do some paper signing. Hope to post more soon.

I've been miserable...

Which is why I haven't posted a blog in what? Months? Well... we're now down to the wire. I am soooo ready to have this baby! And I'm sure everyone else is ready too. It annoys me when people tell me that I'm "so whiney!" because they have NO idea what I'm feeling or what my body feels like. It's fine though. It will end soon and I'll be holding this baby boy in my arms.... so strange. I can't believe I'm going to have a son.

I packed his bag tonight (: That seemed to get me excited and slightly bring me out of my funk. Clothes shopping for a boy sure proves to be difficult for me though. I guess I'm just not use to it.

I have a 1 week appt. tomorrow so here is hoping for the best. Last week I was dilated 2 1/2 cm and my cervix looked thin so maybe when Dr. Mong checks it will help things along. I sure hope so...

Sleepless in NC

This is just got to end. I can't take it anymore and I don't care how many pregnant women have said it... I mean it with everything in me. I can't even begin to describe to you all of the things that make me miserable every day and every night. Finally the heartburn is a bit more under control thanks to Zantac. But...The other problem I'm having that I don't care to share details for your own good, it's freaking unnatural. And to have an spouse who just thinks it's nothing... That you grow a baby with no strings attached and then happily pop it out... does not help the situation. I knew writing about it would make me more angry so for now I'm going to go and lay here awake, miserable.

Wipe Out!!

So last night I got this really cute layout (the one applied now) and thought I'd test it out first on my test blog.  I had worked pretty hard on my blog layout and wanted to save it so if I liked the new layout I was going to do just that.  Well..... OOPS!!! I chose THE WRONG BLOG!!!  Wiped out all my hard work.  I guess it's ok though... it turned out pretty nice (:  I guess that's what I get for not being able to sleep... I no longer realize what I'm doing.  *SIGH* I need this child OUT!!!!!!

The "ghost" fever

Hello again...♥
Wednesday afternoon Hannah began running a fever.  She was lying in the bed with me and I noticed she was radiating heat!!  So I took the thermometer (keep in mind we've found Hannah playing with it on more than just one occasion) and took her temp under her arm.  WOW!!! It was pretty high... I can't remember what it was now but I gave her some motrin and watched it from there.

At about 2:30 am, Yes I was up, I noticed that Hannah was shivering really bad ):  I hate it when she does that!  I took her temp again and it was 103.6!!!!!  Normally I am the one that freaks out.... but this time Kevin was the one who decided we should take her to the ER.  So in her pjs and elmo slippers....

off we went to Wake Med North.  There wasn't anyone there when we got there.... I was expecting a room full of weirdos and sickos, LOL! Anyways, poor Hannah is so sleepy and hot.  Finally we're called into the triage and the nurse takes down useless information.  She did take her temp again under her tongue and that was the first time Hannah had ever done it that way!! I was proud (:  Then we go into the little room to wait for the dr.  Hannah sorta pepped up once we were in there and entertained herself by playing on her daddy's phone.  The nurse came in and took a throat culture and then wanted a urine sample.  She asked me if I thought Hannah could pee in a cup on the potty and I thought for certain she could.  I certainly didn't want her to have to use a catheter ):  So the pee in a cup was successful and Hannah was promised a popcicle (the doctor did say her throat looked a little red) and since she peed in the cup she got a treasure out of the treasure box.  Hannah picked an orange frog who's eyeballs bulged out when squeezed.  Both tests came back negative and the dr. decides she's fine and it's just a "ghost" fever.  We were advised to continue to alternate the motrin and tylenol and were sent on our tired way back home.  Except we stopped at WalMart to get a better thermometer.  We think that maybe our old one read the wrong temp and that it wasn't as high as we thought it was, thus sending us running to to ER, worried.  Ha. Well... this one seems to work nicely.  It's one of those you stick in the ear.  It's pretty neat (:
Hannah is feeling better now.... still has a low grade fever but with no other symptoms no one will want to see her so I guess we wait.  I'm just glad she seems to be feeling better!!!

Creative Insomnia

Hello again...♥
My creativity will NOT let me rest.  Do you KNOW how many layout options there are out there for these blogs???  I really don't have much to write about it except I CAN'T STOP!! Hopefully I can stick with this layout for awhile because I've worked really hard on it and added a bit of a personal touch to it.  I may need to go to layout changers anonymous....

The pregnant wife...

Hello again...♥
I believe it's very important for a husband, significant other, lover, partner, WHOEVER, to dote on the pregnant wife/ significant other, etc. You have a person who is going through more changes in 9 months than you EVER will in your lifetime... all so that you can have a son or daughter to love for a lifetime, God willing. Rub her feet without her having to ask. Rub her back without her having to ask. Make her breakfast or dinner without making her feel like it's a chore for you to have to do it.

I found this very cute top ten list that I had to share.

10 things to do for your pregnant woman

By Lee June 9, 2008 10:19am
Here is a month by month tip sheet for making the life of your pregnant wife/girlfriend/whatever a little sweeter. Doing these things will serve you well: if she knows you appreciate the "shape" she's in, you'll hear a lot less whining. Everybody wins!

  • Month One:Go to the bookstore and buy Pregnancy for Dummies. It is by far the best quick reference book, (more like a user's manual for your uterus). It's straightforward, filled with easy to understand facts, and I used it all the time. There are lots of other titles out there (here's a link), but I found Dummies the best. It's really fun to read, too. You can go crazy and buy a few if she likes to read.
  • Month Two:Morning sickness sucks. It can strike anywhere, at any time, and for some women, it's an all day event. Make sure there are saltine crackers and ginger ale everywhere (or whatever makes her stomach feel better). Make sure she always has them at her bedside table, her car, her purse, the bathroom. Other things that can help morning sickness: sour lollipops (Preggie Pops or Queasy Pops can be found on line here), peppermint, and fresh ginger.
  • Month Three: Tell her she looks beautiful. She may be starting to show, or she may just be looking a little pudgy. Either way, it's really nice to hear from your man that he finds your expanding body beautiful. This should actually be done throughout the pregnancy. If she is gaining too much weight, her doctor will have no trouble letting her know, (it's a danger to her, and your baby). You are off the "do I look fat?" hook for the duration of the pregnancy.
Month Four: Buy her a frame for your first ultra sound picture. I still have both my babies' ultra sounds on my bedside table. I love them, and will have them forever.
  • Month Five: I had crazy cravings during my pregnancies. Not crazy like pickles and ice cream, but cravings so strong I couldn't control myself. One night, my husband was out playing basketball. I called him and told him if he couldn't find watermelon for me, not to bother coming home. Running out of Krispy Kreme doughnuts would bring me to tears, literally. So, indulge her, she's been possessed, and she can't help it.
  • Month Six: Plan a little get away if you can. This is a time when she is feeling good, not too big, and has energy. It is a great time to enjoy some time alone, as a couple, before your life time role of parent begins. (Most airlines will not allow a pregnant woman to fly after 32 weeks).
  • Month Seven: Indulge her when she says she'd like to take a Lamaze class. Go with her, do the silly breathing, the whole thing. I can tell you I did not use one single thing I learned in Lamaze while I was in labor, but I have some of my favorite memories of my husband and me in that class, laughing hysterically at each other.
  • Month Eight: It's probably been a little while since she's been able to see her feet. Help her tie her shoes. Then, buy her two pedicures at her favorite spa. One for her, one for her best friend. Then send them on their way. She can complain to someone else for an hour about how fat she feels. You don't have to hear her, and you look like a great husband.
  • Month Nine: Two words--pregnancy massage. Find someone who is licensed in pregnancy massage and who will come to your house. Schedule the massage in the evening. Turn of the phones, light candles, put on soft music. Just when she thinks you've lost your mind because there's no way in hell she's having sex with you, you tell her she's having a massage, and that she can literally roll off the table and into bed to go to sleep for the night. You are leaving her in peace and quiet (aka, you are going out with your friends). Again, you look like the hero while you are out having a beer.
  • Month Ten: Honestly, men, by this time do whatever the F she wants. She is beyond uncomfortable, can't sleep, and she is emotional. It's going to be a very rough last few weeks on her, and the next thing she has to do is cram that kid through her you know what, and you don't. So, suck it up, and be at her beck and call. It's good practice, cause you'll be at your newborn's beck and call any day now, and loving it.

That says it all. Now if I could just get my husband to read this and realize it's truth....

Cravings...

Hello again...♥ I just remembered that I have chicken tenders and honey mustard sauce in the fridge from Texas Steak House!!! Sadly I got so excited I decided to blog about it!! LOL... I get why pregnant women are more hungry but why must we crave certain foods. And what's really annoying is when I crave something that is no where near or is momentarily unobtainable.

Hannah is hanging out with me since she fell asleep early. She woke up asking for chocolate milk and popcorn. Sounded good to me so off I went and made us some (: She appears to be getting pretty sleepy though so maybe she'll be asleep by 3. I don't want her to get into a bad sleep pattern. I won't warm up my tenders until she's asleep.... I may not want them by then. Oh well... lunch for tomorrow!!

The yummiest place in the world to eat!!

Hello again...♥ Of course that would be Kanki. I can eat there everyday and never get sick of it!! Yum. Tonight the girls both used chop sticks throughout the whole dinner! I knew Kyla could but was quite impressed with Hannah (: It took her a little longer to eat but that was ok! I was a little disappointed with my meal though... apparently the cook thought I said I wanted my steak medium well. GAG, I like it medium. I'll still eat the left overs but it's just not as yummy as how I usually get it cooked. Here's the girls using their chopsticks (:

Blogging Bonanza

Hello again...♥So I'm finding out all neat sorts of things about this blogging site. I think I'm better at designing my layout and messing with the settings than I am at actually blogging. I can't ever sit still long enough to write down something that's longer than one paragraph.

I had quite a relaxing day today. Boring but relaxing. I stayed in bed until about 5!! Yes, 5 PM. I got absolutely no sleep last night. I even tried taking benadryl but that just seemed to make me more restless. These nights of no sleep are so irritating and I know that once Colin comes I'll wonder why it was so hard to get to sleep. *Sigh*
On a positive note... Kyla is here this weekend!!! I am so blessed to have the most beautiful girls EVER! (:
Before this blog gets too random I'll go for now.

Rest Now before the baby comes

Hello again....How am I suppose to do that? I'm uncomfortable all the time. I never seem sleepy ): If I do manage to get halfway sleepy it's ruined by all the constant peeing )O: UGH UGH UGH!! The bathroom has become such a familiar place to me. I'm thinking about just putting my pillow on the wall and sleeping in there at night. And I'm ALWAYS hungry but feel like I can't eat because I feel full at the same time. This is my most miserable pregnancy and I would be lying if I said I was sad it was the last. NO MORE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!

Last but not least

And definetely NOT any easier. I know that everyone is so sick of hearing me complain all the time about the heartburn and the peeing... but wow. It's so much worse with this one. Which then makes me worry about what the labor is going to be like. I am getting an epidural this time. Someone had told me that they couldn't believe that I wasn't going to have a natural child birth with this one like I did with my girls. HAHAHAHA! I think twice is ENOUGH.
